PY Quest
by Hulka Labs
A local game-style Python trainer for a school kid: tasks, quizzes, coins and an AI mentor who checks the code and gives friendly hints.
This project was made for my son. It lives only locally and has never been published anywhere.

What it does
- New tasks keep coming. Tasks are constantly generated and added, and the difficulty grows step by step.
- Quest map: tasks unlock one by one, finished ones get a check mark, and the current one is highlighted.
- Theory and hints for every task: a short explanation with a code example, solution steps, test data and a bot tip. You write the code in your favourite editor and paste the solution into the site.
- AI review: Claude checks the solution against the task's tests and gives 1 to 5 stars. It also writes a short, warm comment in simple English and up to three tips. If a built-in shortcut like
sorted()is used instead of a hand-written algorithm, the bot gently asks to write the steps yourself. - A quiz for every task: 3 multiple-choice questions with an explanation after each answer. An answer can't be changed once chosen.
- Coins and streak: 10 coins for a task, 1 coin for each correct quiz answer. The home page shows the total and the day streak.
- "Did you know?": a bank of fun IT facts you can flip through.
- Content in plain files: tasks and quizzes are Markdown, facts are JSON. A new file appears on the site after a page refresh. Content errors are shown in a popup.
